Day 1 : Arrive Delhi
Arrive Delhi You are received and welcomed by our representative at the airport & Transfer to hotel. He will present you the travel documents Rest of the day free for independent activities.
Day 2 : Delhi Sightseeing
New Delhi: designed and built by the British in the 1920's it's a city of wide boulevards impressive Government buildings, green parks and gardens. First you will visit two monuments from Delhi's past Humayun's Tomb and Qutub Minar. Then your drive takes you along the ceremonial avenue, Rajpath, past the imposing India Gate and Parliament House.
Old Delhi:an ancient walled city. Here you will see Red Fort, the most opulent Fort and Palace of the Moghul Empire; Raj Ghat, the memorial site of the Mahatma Gandhi; Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India and Chandni Chowk, the bustling and colorful market of the old city.
Day 3 : Delhi to Udaipur By Flight
Arrive Udaipur by flight. Check in the hotel. Rest of the day free for independent activities. Late afternoon enjoy boat-Ride on Lake Pichola visiting many Ghats (banks) of washing, bathing etc and enjoy excellent views of the Lake Palace and City Palace.
Day 4 : Udaipur sightseeing
Morning sightseeing of Udaipur visiting The City Palace and Museum is considered as the largest palace complex in Rajasthan. Pratap Memorial has the bronze statue of Maharana Pratap, the legendary warrior king of Udaipur. Jagdish Temple which was built in 1651 AD. Saheliyon Ki Bari is a small ornamental garden made for maiden princes to play.
Day 5 : Udaipur to Jaipur via Ajmer/Pushkar (450 Kms. /9-10 Hours)
Drive to Jaipur, via Pushkar - The holiest place for Hindus. This is the place where Lord Brahma (the Creator) and his wife Saraswati (the goddess of learning and music) performed a ritual. Here we visit the only Brahma temple in the world before intermingling with the colors in the local bazaar. Pushkar is also world famous for its cattle fair, which is held each year in the month of October - November and continue drive to Jaipur.
Day 6 : Jaipur Sightseeing
Morning excursion to Amber Fort, situated outside the walled city, is perhaps the most beautiful example of Rajput forts. You can have the unique experience of riding on elephant back to the top of the hill on which the fort is situated. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Jaipur including, City Palace in the heart of Jaipur known for its blend of Rajput and Mughal architecture.. Another monument near the City Palace, Jantar Mantar, is the largest of the five astronomical observatories built by Sawai Jai Singh-I, the founder ruler of Jaipur. Stop at Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds, a seven storied facade and one of the most picturesque landmarks constructed for the royal ladies to watch the royal processions without being seen.
Day 7 : Drive Jaipur to Agra via Fatehpur Sikri (250 Kms. /4-5 Hours) (Taj Mahal is closed on Friday)
Drive to Agra via Fatehpur Sikri - built in Red Sandstone in honor of Saint Salim Chisti, who foretold the birth of 3 sons to emperor Akbar, an example of robust stability combined with originality each important edifice here represents a type by itself. Notable among them is the Diwane Khas, Punch Mahal, The Tomb of Salim Chisti, and the Buland Darwaza, after visit continue drive to Agra and check into hotel.
Day 8 : Agra Sightseeing & Evening Drive to Orcha (200 Kms. /4-5 Hours)
Drive to Agra, check in the hotel. In the afternoon reach Agra and check in at your hotel. Later proceed for the city sightseeing tour visiting The Taj Mahal, which is entirely made of white marble and its walls are decorated with exquisite pietra dura (precious and semi precious stone inlay) work. Also visit Agra Fort (also called the Red Fort), which retains the irregular outline of the demolished mud-wall fort of the Lodi's. The Tomb of Itmad-Ud-Daula's is located in a walled garden overlooking the Yamuna. Evening drive to Orcha. Check-in the hotel.
Day 9 : Orcha Sightseeing & Drive to Khajuraho (200 Kms. /4-5 Hours)
Drive to Orcha. Situated on the banks of the Betwa River, Orchha has changed little over the centuries. Originally a hunting area, it became the centre and capital of the Bundelas. Orchha has more temples and palaces than any town of this size deserves! Spend time here exploring the palace and temples scattered across the peaceful countryside, walking in rural areas untouched by modern life and meeting the very friendly local people. You will have free time to stroll down the streets or walk along the river. You may spend evening taking in the puja ceremony at the Ram Raja Temple, depending on the season. After drive to Khajuraho
Day 10 : Khajuraho Sightseeing & Overnight Train to Varanasi (400 Kms.)
Khajuraho passing through the rural areas of Madhya Pradesh enroot to the remote town of Khajuraho. Home of the beautifully preserved ancient and famous temples which are famous for explicit carvings depicting the full range of the Eroticism (Kama Sutra). Day 11 : Arrive Varanasi
upon your arrival at Varanasi, you will get assistance and transfer to your hotel. Then visit Sarnath the sacred city for the Buddhist all over the world. It was here that Lord Buddha preached his first sermon to his first five disciples. Also worth visiting is the museum with artifacts dating back to 3rd Century BC. Visit the nearby ruins of the ancient seat of learning in Sarnath. Varanasi, formerly known as Banaras, is one of the most important religious cities in India. When you walk the crowded streets of the old city near the Ganges River, you will see holy men, holy cows, and holy temples all over the place. Also visit the Banaras Hindu University the largest residential university in India with more than 3000 residential students. In the evening visit River Ganges by boat and see praying ceremony of holy river Ganges.
Day 12 : Varanasi Sightseeing
Morning at the time of sunrise visit banks of the river Ganges and have boat ride to see the morning ablutions of the Hindus. See the Kashi Vishwanath temple and the Gyanvyapi kund and the mosque attached to it.
Day 13 : Varanasi to Delhi by Train (800 Kms.)
Day free for leisure activities. Overnight Train to Delhi. (Train No. 2559 Shiv Ganga Exp. Departure Varanasi at 1930 & Arrive Delhi at 0740)
Day 14 : Akshardham Sightseeing & Departure
Arrive Delhi Check in the Hotel. Sightseeing of Akshardham temple complex in Delhi-sprawling pink sandstone and white marble temple complex of the Swaminarayan. The complex will double up as a modern centre of spirituality and learning about Indian culture. t is expected to become a major tourist attraction of Delhi. The temple complex will be spread on 30 acres of the Yamuna bank. Its architecture draws inspiration from the temples of Badrinath (Uttaranchal), Somnath (Gujarat) and Konark (Orissa).Swaminarayan Sect that controls Akshardham complex seems to have been part of the bhakti movement and born of the philosophy of Sahajan and Swami (1781-1830) who was considered an incarnation of Lord Swaminarayan and was a powerful social activist. Evening you will be transferred to International Airport for your onward Journey.
